1. bring in a birthday card with a large number 11 on it, a picture of a birthday cake, a box wrapped in fancy paper and ribbon. bring a puppet as well. tell the pupils that today is the puppet’s birthday.
2. present the new words “ candle/ribbon/card/present” with the sentence pattern “ what can you see?”practice one by one in a line-------over-head show.
