这两个词都可以用作名词和动词,作名词时,意义相近,但不是同义词。

而reward作名词时,其意为“赏金”、“酬金”或一些非金钱的报酬。例:

【辨析】
intend mean propose 都含“想做某事”的意思。
intend 系正式用语, 指“心里已有做某事的目标或计划”, 含有“行动坚决”之意, 如:

mean 可与 intend互换, 但强调“做事的意图”, 较口语化, 如:
